Support for NQT’s and Induction Tutors
All NQT’s are required to complete a period of one year’s statutory induction, during which time they continue to meet the QTS standards and progress to meet more challenging Induction Standards. It is vital that both NQT’s and Induction tutors fully understand the regulations around induction, and both are strongly recommended to visit the Training and Development Agency website to access the guidance there. To coincide with the publication of the new Professional Standards for Teachers framework the local authority has issued a revised version of 'Supporting the Induction of Newly Qualified Teachers - Rotherham LA Guidance on Effective Practice' (the 'Purple Folder'). A copy of this guidance in CD Rom format has been sent to all schools. It may also be downloaded using the link below:
