The aims for the day are:
To explore and become familiar with the APP materials for reading and writing.
To provide an update on the local and national initiatives, developments and CPD opportunities.
To provide an overview of attainment in 2008.
To provide an overview of Letters and Sounds (optional session).
The day will start at 9.15am and finish by 2.45pm (lunch will be provided). The final session (from approximately 2pm) will provide colleagues with an overview of Letters and Sounds. This session has been requested by a large number of literacy subject leaders. We are aware that some subject leaders will be very confident with Letters and Sounds and therefore we are offering it as an optional session for those who feel it would be beneficial.
In order to contribute to the discussions throughout the day, please bring the data available on the links below and a copy of Letters and Sounds.
