Newsday was a project undertaken to give pupils in Rotherham schools an opportunity to share their views, opinions and work they had developed with a wider audience. It gave children the potential to write to a variety of audiences considering the genre of the material and the needs of the reader.
A team of students was provided by Dinnington Comprehensive Shool who acted as the Editorial Team. In this role they developed the look and feel of the 'paper' which took the form of a web site so it could be easily viewed by all schools as well as updated regularly. Material was submiited from a range of schools, who were then able to view their contributions via their web browser.
