The Primary and Secondary Award Ceremony's
11th and 12th July 2006
The evenings began with hundreds of pupils, staff, and in some cases, parents arriving in limousines. Some lucky guests even managed to arrive by fire engine! These swept up to the red carpeted entrance to the event. Others walked round from the front car park, dressed in evening gowns, dinner suits, sparkle and jewels.
Guests were met by entertainers wearing spectacular and dazzling outfits, Elvis on stilts, magicians, jugglers and more. The atmosphere was electric and the excited buzz in the air conveyed the anticipation of guests as they moved past 2D life-size images of film stars following the red carpeted entrance leading to the events hall itself.
The events hall was decorated this year on a lilac, silver and turquoise theme with sparkling table centres, hundreds of balloons, bowls of sweets, lollipops and champagne glasses filled with blackcurrant.
This year we were lucky enough to secure the services of Integrity, a group of three pupils from Clifton Comprehensive School. A real local talent and breath of fresh air to be showcased.
